Jeff Brown, Principal, Safer Healthcare, LLC

Jeff is a Principal of Safer Healthcare, a firm established to support development of safety management learning systems in healthcare.  Jeff has worked on system safety and risk mitigation initiatives in diverse settings in the U.S. and abroad, including healthcare, flight operations, air traffic control, border security, electrical transmission, and naval operations, among others. Most recently he supported the Maine Primary Care Association in establishing an Agency for Health Care Research and Quality Patient Safety Organization focused on ambulatory patient safety. Jeff has authored, and co-authored peer-reviewed articles and books focused on system-based approaches to safety. His most recent book is A System-based Approach to Safety in Ambulatory Care (and beyond), in Patient Safety and Quality in Healthcare.
